Employer FAQs

TheJobPost is an innovative and secure online recruitment marketplace that enables you to attract the best talent for all your professional staffing requirements at a price you control.

TheJobPost brings together employers and recruiters in a unique way which is a win-win for both parties. Employers have access to a pre-screened and compliant recruitment community enabling them to fill vacancies fast whilst recruitment consultancies receive a constant flow of new business opportunities.

If you're asking this question then TheJobPost is definitely for you! First of all, TheJobPost can be used to reduce the time spent dealing with unsolicited cold callers - simply inform the recruitment consultants that you're registered on TheJobPost and they should channel their enquiry there. Consequently, with TheJobPost as a single platform for the wider recruitment consultancy network, you can direct any consultant who contacts you, to service your vacancies through TheJobPost. In this way, if a recruiter genuinely has a candidate you need, you will not miss the opportunity to meet that candidate. Only candidates who precisely meet your specification will be matched with your vacancy and you will then have the option to initiate contact with the recruiters who have forwarded those candidates.

In today's competitive job market, new channels of talent acquisition are absolutely essential. TheJobPost will not disrupt any of your existing relationships but simply add an immediate high quality candidate source for any large or small organisation and streamline recruiter relationships and procurement processes dramatically.

Yes. TheJobPost has been designed for multiple users and multiple office locations allowing employers to add as many users to its account as is necessary.

TheJobPost is FREE to use for employers. In fact, we can save you money because you choose the rate that you're willing to pay a recruitment consultancy for a candidate (from a minimum of 15% of the candidate's annual package).

TheJobPost charges the recruiter a small fee upfront (between £50 - £400 depending on the salary level of your vacancy), which grants them the right to submit CVs to your vacancy through TheJobPost system. Naturally, recruiters will only purchase those vacancies where they believe their candidates have a high probability of being offered the role. This, of course, discourages the speculative and irrelevant submission of unsuitable candidates.

Importantly, recruiters retain their FULL FEE from a placement made through TheJobPost, less a placement handling fee of £250.

One of the most significant benefits of TheJobPost is the ability to connect employers to a network of specialist recruitment consultancies of all shapes and sizes - from niche head-hunters to global staffing companies - with expertise in all industry sectors and nationwide cross-functional delivery capability. By using TheJobPost, employers are reaching literally hundreds of external recruitment consultants they would not have the time to engage individually.

Once you have registered with TheJobPost and posted your vacancy, an email will be automatically sent to recruitment consultants within one hour who specialise in your location, particular sector or functional discipline. Your initial specification, input at the moment when you register the vacancy, is the determining factor which influences the speed of the service. The right level of detail (on your organisation, the job description and the person specification) increases the speed and accuracy of recruiter responses. Of course, the speed of response will also be affected by the level of difficulty in certain candidate-driven markets, the job's location, the attractiveness of the vacancy and the remuneration package on offer to candidates.

The recruitment consultancy that has fully qualified and submitted the candidate to TheJobPost owns that candidate for a period of six months from the date of submission. If the employer recruits this candidate within the initial six-month period, the employer pays the consultancy the fee that was originally posted, as per our terms and conditions.

If you have proof of candidate submission in the six months preceding the same candidate submission via TheJobPost system then you have ownership of the candidate and no fee would be payable.

It is not uncommon for candidates to be represented by more than one recruiter.

All candidate submissions are time and date stamped by TheJobPost. The first recruiter to submit a candidate to a specific skill request is credited as the representative of that candidate. TheJobPost does not condone submissions of candidates whose interest in a particular position has not been confirmed by the recruiter and will disqualify such submissions and retains the right to ban those recruiters from the site. When a recruiter has submitted a specific candidate to a job profile, made a successful match to a vacancy and introduced the employer to the candidate with contact details or through an interview, the recruiter retains the rights to that candidate specifically with the employer in question for 6 months from the date of submission. Subsequent submissions from other recruiters using the same candidate through TheJobPost are disqualified.

When arbitrating in this regard TheJobPost reserves the right to make the final decision, as set out in our terms and conditions.

Once you have approved the successful hire, TheJobPost invoices you for the agreed fee as set out in our terms and conditions. All invoices are payable to TheJobPost upon the successful candidate's start date. TheJobPost then pays the successful recruiter in line with the start date and rebate schedule.

In the unlikely event that your new recruit does not work out in the first 10 weeks, TheJobPost will issue a rebate on a proportional basis depending on the period served by the candidate. After 10 weeks no rebate is applicable.

To qualify for a rebate, please note the following:

  • The submitted invoice must have been paid on time;
  • The employer must have informed TheJobPost of the candidate's termination in writing and within 5 working days of the termination date;
  • Notifications after 10 weeks will not be honoured since the fee at that point will have been released in full to the recruiter.

TheJobPost marketplace gives you immediate access to more companies than you have the time or logistical ability to engage. Recruiters find that they make more money using TheJobPost because they can spend their time more productively - primarily searching for and briefing candidates on genuine opportunities and making more placements - instead of cold calling, negotiating contracts, pitching or tendering for inclusion on preferred supplier lists or collecting fees.

The purpose of TheJobPost system is to match employers with the best recruiters in their market and create a partnership approach whereby success breeds success within a self-selecting environment.

When posting a new vacancy, the employer is challenged to provide a full and detailed job description and person specification to enable potential recruiters to make a purchasing decision as to whether they wish to submit candidates or not.

Typically, we allow between 2-3 recruiters to engage on a single vacancy posted on TheJobPost. This number can change if the employer requires fewer or more agencies to work on their vacancy.

The invoice is payable within the agreed terms with the employer days. We collect the fee from the employer which is then released to you in line with the as outlined in our terms and conditions.

Any variations to the current 10 week rebate period will be made known to the recruiter if the employer has uploaded their own terms and his will be specified prior to engagement on a vacancy.

TheJobPost carries out credit checks on each employer at registration stage and of course, we take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity of the jobs that are posted on the system.

As per our terms and conditions, we will only pay a fee when we have secured the funds from an employer and in line with the rebate schedule.

In the event that an employer does not pay on time or refuses to pay, our credit control team will pursue the matter rigorously, which may include taking legal action in order to secure the funds on your behalf.
